Churro French Toast

  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • FOR THE CINNAMON SUGAR:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • FOR THE FRENCH TOAST:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 thick slices bread of choice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients for the glaze. Set aside.
  2. Whisk together all the ingredients for the cinnamon sugar. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together french toast mixture of eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Coat sliced bread in egg mixture.
  4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add coated bread and cook evenly on both sides until golden brown. Remove from skillet and while still hot, coat french toast in cinnamon sugar.
  5. Top with glaze, serve and enjoy!
